Among her many honors, Ms. Schmiedecke is the youngest cellist ever accepted into the professional performance course at the Oxford Cello School, where she won First Prize in the Spectrum Competition for cello sponsored by the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music. Winner of numerous prizes including the Taipei International Chopin Piano Competition and Bard College Conservatory of Music's Annual Concerto Competition.
